19 December 2005 - The JHC OBA Sydney Mourns the Loss of our beloved maths teacher Mr. Arirasasingham
It is with deepest regret that we inform you that Mr. Arirasasingham, our maths teacher at JHC, passed away on Wednesday, 14th December 2005 in Jaffna, SriLanka.
27 November 2005 - JHC OBA NSW Executive Committee (2006) kick-off meeting
On 27th November 2005, the JHC OBA NSW Committee kick off meeting was held at Ambikairajah's residence
12 November 2005 - JHC OBA NSW Branch - Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Dinner
The Annual General Meeting that was held at Homebush Boys' High School on Saturday, 12th November and was attended by approximately 30 Old Boys. The musical event and dinner that followed the AGM was attended by approximately 125 people. It was a very enjoyable event that was commended by all who attended. Congratulations to the Executive Committee of 2005 for their wonderful organisation of this event .

16 October 2005 - JHC OBA NSW Executive Committee meeting
The JHC OBA NSW Executive Committee meeting was hosted by Nanthan at his residence on Sunday 16th October.
02 October 2005 - JHC OBA NSW Vs. Hartley College OBA Annual Cricket Match
The annual cricket match was organised and co-ordinated by Kanthan and was held at Granville Park, where approximately 75 people attended to either participate or play in the match. The match started at 9am and continued until 3pm. Hartley College narrowly won the match. The JHC OBA team put on a fantastic show and all members played very well, under the captaincy of Mahinthan. In particular, Ashok of JHC OBA, scored the highest number of runs in the match (totalling 79 runs) and it was enjoyable for all to watch him play as he hit many 4s and 6s. Gowri's wicketkeeping was excellent - overall it was a wonderful day for the members and their families. Everyone enjoyed the BBQ and the atmosphere was fantastic.
25 September 2005 - JHC OBA NSW Cricket Practice Session
In preparation for the annual cricket match between JHC OBA and Hartley College OBA, JHC OBA had a practice session at Girraween Park, Toongabbie from 10-1pm. Approximately 12 members attended and had good practice runs.

25 August 2005 - The JHC OBA Sydney Mourns the Loss of our beloved teacher Mr. Sivaramalingam
We wish to express our deepest sympathy to the family of our beloved teacher Mr Sivaramalingam who sadly passed away on Thursday 25th August 2005. He was an Old Boy of Jaffna Hindu College and was a teacher for many years.

21 June 2005 - JHC OBA NSW donates to KKS Road Frontage Building of JHC
The JHC OBA Sydney donated LKR 200,000.00 (AUD 2,791.19) to the Colombo OBA to help improve the KKS Road Frontage Building of Jaffna Hindu College.
12 June 2005 - Iniya Malai Poluthu
The JHC OBA Sydney held the Iniya Malai Poluthu event on the 12th June 2005 at the Ryde Civic Centre. Approximately 500 Old Boys and their families attended the event. The evening was enjoyed by all and it was a fantastic get-together. The music and songs provided by Sapthaswaras was of exceptional quality.
